This position requires specialized skills and knowledge to handle the challenges and complexities of the project quality activities. With authoritative decision-making this role’s recommendations have a significant impact on regional and offices quality policies and programs. This role may supervise the work of assigned quality personnel. Responsibilities may include; Implement and supervise technical quality (i.e., adherence to client, regulatory agency, and company requirements), perform administrative functions (i.e., budgeting, forecasting, staffing, etc.), and help to maintain harmonious client relations. Communicate effectively with all labor grades, and contribute ideas that stimulate positive direction of business line personnel. Serve as project Quality Manager on medium to large projects, if necessary. Maintain relationships with key internal and external Clients and external Quality community. Has a working knowledge of Codes ASME NQA-1:2015 and 2024, Quality Assurance Requirements for Nuclear Facility Applications. Has a working knowledge of ASME Code Sections II, III, V and IX Has a working knowledge of DOE Order 414.1D, Requirement II – Quality Assurance Program of 10 CFR50, Appendix B Have had worked with ISO 17025: 2017 General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories Has the primary responsibility for establishing, maintaining and assuring effective implementation of the NQA-1, Quality Management System Has the ability to execute a minimum of five quality assurance audits within a period not exceeding three years, with at least one annually, to maintain certification Ensure that the Internal Audit program complies with requirements, maintains audit competencies, addresses any corrective actions from the internal/external audit process in a timely manner, and verifies their effectiveness. Able to develop new Quality Procedures and content to ensure compliance with changes in Nuclear Standards and its associated standards or those required by project clients. Able to develop Inspection and Test Plans for all phases of construction. Able to review procurement specifications, purchase orders, contracts, task orders, agreements and flow down requirements to supplier and contractors. Able to manage a corrective action program. Able to mitigate significant quality risks potentially causing business disruption and reputational damage Good interpersonal and communication skills.
