About The Position

The Senior Project Quality Manager is responsible for administrating and executing the GEH Quality Assurance Program for the Advanced Nuclear Projects. This position will also include the administration and execution of the Quality Surveillance Processes, and the oversight of engineering, component testing and other project activities executed in the organization for both commercial and government nuclear projects. In addition to overseeing the internal activities, this position will support customer audits and oversight activities. This role is responsible for the onsite and offsite quality activities for New Nuclear Projects. Evaluate New Plants Projects (NPP) activities for compliance to regulatory, customer, and GEH internal requirements, and provide recommendations for continuous improvements. Lead Quality activities for the projects and act as the GEH main point of contact within Quality organizations. Be responsible for the creation and implementation of Project Quality Control plans and procedures for associated activities. Ensure future error prevention through the use of the corrective actions process. Provide training to individuals in quality related activities Execute quality surveillance activities for New Nuclear Projects activities. Apply quality and technical knowledge, best practices, lessons learned, and practical experience to the analysis, investigation, and solution of complex problems. Support internal and external audits. Review condition reports, audits, self-assessment reports and KPI information to identify trends and develop recommendations for performance improvement. Support future error prevention through the use of the corrective actions process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in quality or nuclear related field
  • Working knowledge of ASME NQA-1
  • Working knowledge of ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code Section III and ISO-9001

Nice To Haves

  • Thorough knowledge of Quality Assurance Programs
  • Knowledge of GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy’s Quality Assurance and business processes, as well as customer and competitive environments
  • Knowledge of Nuclear Industry technologies (commercial light water, advance and small modular reactors)
  • Certified or able to be certified as a Lead Auditor to ASME NQA-1 or ANSI N45.2.23 requirements.
  • Strong team leadership experience, including supervisor responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a customer focused team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with Root / Apparent Cause Analysis tools / techniques
  • Ability and willingness to travel to other GEH/GE, customer facilities/sites.
  • Demonstrated self-starter possessing strong initiative and teamwork skills.
  • Demonstrated desire to be involved in a rapidly changing and challenging work environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, proven ability to develop team relationships.
