About The Position

As the Project Procurement Manager, you will have the opportunity to perform assigned procurement activities for a proposal(s) or project(s) and lead others with procurement responsibilities while requiring minimal supervision. This role involves purchasing equipment, construction, and service contracts, managing the procurement process from bid to award, and collaborating to resolve complex claims. You will also assist with project setup, budget and schedule monitoring, and reporting on procurement activities. The role may involve developing presentations, soliciting budgetary pricing, and leading the entire budgetary pricing effort. Filing appropriate documents and following filing rules are also part of the responsibilities. Possible positions receiving direction include Procurement Representative, Procurement Administrator, and Expediter.

Requirements

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience.
  • All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Purchases assigned equipment, construction, and service contracts for projects following established policies and procedures
  • Assists in project setup of procurement related activities
  • Executes and manages the procurement process on assigned contracts including bid list preparation, solicitation of quotes, and evaluating, negotiating and awarding of contracts
  • Leads negotiations for assigned procurements and/or construction contracts
  • Collaborates to resolve complex claims or other contract issues
  • Ensures contract documents are issued correctly and on schedule
  • Assists with the development and monitoring of project budgets and schedules (man-hours, cost, procurement milestone durations)
  • Assists with the establishment and/or monitoring of procurement goals
  • Monitors project procurement activities and reports status
  • May develop, create and lead presentations to internal and external client and joint venture partners
  • May be responsible for soliciting budgetary pricing for equipment, material, or labor to support estimating/proposal efforts for a project or projects
  • May also lead and coordinate the entire budgetary pricing effort on a project or projects
  • Files appropriate documents and follows filing rules
