About The Position

Koch Specialty Plant Services (KSPS) is seeking a Piping Project Planner to support turnaround projects in Pine Bend, MN. This on-site role serves as the primary planning and scheduling resource, coordinating with project leadership, field teams, subcontractors, and client stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient, and successful project execution. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of planning/scheduling experience in an industrial environment.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience using Prometheus planning software.
  • 3+ years of industrial plant experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and develop project scopes and schedules.
  • Experience with business systems such as MS Office, SAP, Oracle Primavera P6, or similar.
  • Familiarity with piping systems, valves, heat exchangers, and mass transfer equipment.
  • Ability to meet all site access and training requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of industrial plant and turnaround planning experience.
  • Experience with piping, heaters, and specialty welding projects.
  • Foreman-level or higher field leadership experience.
  • QA/QC experience with knowledge of piping specifications.
  • Working knowledge of lifting and rigging procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules and look-ahead plans.
  • Lead planning and coordination meetings with field leadership and project stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress, identify schedule risks, and implement recovery strategies.
  • Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractor activities to support project goals.
  • Provide schedule forecasting, progress reporting, and productivity analysis.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between field operations, project management, and client representatives.
  • Support change management, risk mitigation, and issue resolution to maintain project performance.
