About The Position

The Project Operations Analyst supports organizational projects through testing and reporting by gathering, analyzing, and documenting requirements and processes. As part of the Center of Excellence, this role partners with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet business needs and projects are delivered successfully. This position reports to the Vice President, Project Operations and will work across the organization, is salaried, exempt, and works from the Kansas City, MO office. Following a successful onboarding period, there is flexibility to work remotely 1 or 2 days per week.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent and at least 3 years of related experience.
  • Experience in business analysis, QA, or process improvement roles.
  • Proven success in business analysis, process mapping, requirement gathering, and documentation.
  • Proficient and comfortable with technology and possesses the aptitude to learn quickly and navigate between multiple applications easily.
  • Must be familiar with Salesforce, databases, reporting tools, and Microsoft 365.
  • Skilled at interpreting complex instructions and documentation, solving problems, and drawing valid conclusions.
  • Ability to operate in a highly collaborative environment, while working independently and being self-motivated.
  • Commitment to confidentiality, discretion, and high standards to effectively oversee sensitive personnel and organizational information.
  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret and follow a variety of instructions and procedures; operate within current industry best practices.
  • Ability to explain detailed, complex concepts to technical and non-technical users.
  • Ability to build professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders and successfully communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Commitment to confidentiality, discretion, and high standards of professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate insights, requirements, and test results clearly to project teams and leadership through concise documentation, reports and updates.
  • Serve as a consistent liaison between business, IT, and end users to support shared understanding and project alignment.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand and document business and technical needs.
  • Document current and future processes, identify gaps and improvement opportunities, and clearly define actionable requirements for project teams.
  • Support project teams by planning, designing, and executing effective user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet documented requirements.
  • Validate project-related data and reports for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with requirements.
  • Partner with project teams and end users to streamline testing processes and improve overall data quality.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and improve workflows, and partner with IT and business teams to recommend and implement process enhancements.
  • Own and maintain the enterprise reporting inventory and catalog in the project management systems.
  • Apply and enforce reporting validation procedures and controls to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Summarize key insights from stakeholder discussions into clear, actionable reports and dashboards.
  • Apply emerging cross-departmental quality assurance and process improvement best practices to support stronger project outcomes and team efficiency.
  • Assist project managers by developing business cases, contributing to defining scope, and creating documentation such as use cases, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
