Requirements

• Minimum Age Requirement of 18 years
• Legally entitled to work in Canada

Nice To Haves

• Experience working or volunteering with youth an asset
• First Aid/CPR Certification an asset

Responsibilities

• Support program delivery weekly by setting up the space, assisting with facilitation of games, workshops, or learning sessions
• Build positive relationships with youth
• Support youth social/emotional development by assisting with navigating conflicts respectfully, reinforce skills like teamwork and collaboration, and be patient and responsive to individual needs
• Encourage youth voice and leadership
• Ensure Safety and Wellbeing through YMCA guidelines and monitoring group dynamics
• Help support community events throughout the year
• Be committed to diversity, equity, inclusion and building a sense of belonging
• Embrace and exemplify the Y’s core value
