BAE Systems is seeking a dedicated Acquisition Project Manager to join our team supporting the Mk21A Reentry Vehicle Development Program at Hill AFB, Utah. Operating within the ICBM System Program Office (SPO), this role directly supports the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) Sentinel Directorate Materiel Leader and Integrated Support Contractor (ISC) leadership. The Project Manager will execute day-to-day contract surveillance, Award Fee program plan, track vendor deliverables across the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) lifecycle, drive Integrated Product Team (IPT) actions to closure, and facilitate technical exchanges between the USAF, Department of Energy (DoE/NNSA), and prime contractors. The successful candidate has demonstrated experience in project management, ethics, and security. Responsibilities include assisting the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) Mk21A Materiel Leader and ISC lead program manager in coordinating projects and their associated requirements detailed in Department of Energy (DoE) and United States Air Force (USAF) requirements, directives and instructions. The Project Manager is responsible for tasks and is accountable to the government for the technical quality, content, and results of all projects. Why Utah? You’ve got to see it to believe it! Requirements

  • 7 years of direct project management or equivalent work experience
  • An active U.S. Government Secret security clearance or higher, and the ability to obtain Top Secret
  • Proven experience supporting cross-department communications and collaboration
  • Self-directed; works independently, familiar with Air Force and Government processes
  • Well organized; drives task to closure
  • Extensive experience with ICBM systems, DOD acquisition processes, and relevant military standards
  • Experience coordinating and integrating with external stakeholders
  • Excellent cognitive, communication (written and spoken), and interpersonal skills, with experience briefing and providing reports to executive-level leaders
  • Must possess and maintain a US DoD Secret Security Clearance
  • US Citizenship status

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer current ICBM program experience and classified facility access
  • DoD 5000 ACAT or DOE Phase 6 acquisition experience
