About The Position
A multi-discipline engineering firm with over 70 years in business is looking for a Project Mechanical Engineer for their Fort Lauderdale, Florida office! The role involves supervising and coordinating projects, preparing construction drawings and specifications, direct client communication, and providing technical leadership. The goal is to ensure high-quality, on-time, and on-budget technical delivery of all project requirements, while also supervising and mentoring junior staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- 5+ years of HVAC design experience
- 3+ years of project management experience in a consulting firm or related environment
- Successful applicants must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.
Nice To Haves
- Professional Engineer license preferred
- Experience with local municipalities and government agencies preferred
Responsibilities
- Supervise/coordinate projects with other engineering and architecture departments within the firm
- Prepare construction drawings/specifications for public and private bidding
- Direct communication with clients
- Provide technical leadership, production and scheduling, quality control and cost proposals
- Ensure high-quality, on time, on budget, technical delivery of all project requirements
- Supervise/mentor junior staff
