About The Position

Leads, directs and coordinates the day-to-day management of the project. This role involves leading the development of high-performance teams through supervision, training, coaching, and mentoring, ensuring regular feedback and timely performance appraisals. The Project Manager will manage and develop assigned staff toward maximum job performance and career potential, and develop and improve client relationships, fostering a "trusted advisor" status. Understanding and administering Turner's contract and subcontract agreements is crucial, as is providing leadership to positively influence change and promoting Turner's involvement in the community to build strategic relationships. The role also involves fostering and enhancing architect, subcontractor, and vendor relations, establishing and communicating the Master Project Schedule, and potentially working with the preconstruction team. Key responsibilities include managing the budget and financial reporting, overseeing the Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) program, and providing leadership in risk evaluation, contract negotiations, fee, and pricing decisions. The Project Manager must understand, comply with, and advise others on Turner's business ethics and compliance programs, demonstrating and mentoring high standards of personal accountability and integrity. Management and oversight of field operations and engineering processes, driving competencies in insurance, labor relations, and employee relations, and enforcing safety protocols are also essential. The role supports the initiation of the Pay Application process with Finance and ensures timely payment, keeps management informed of project and budget progress through Operations Review Meetings, and supports and drives the utilization of Turner initiatives, promoting emerging technologies and innovations. Finally, the Project Manager provides leadership to foster an environment of diversity and inclusion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree plus a minimum of ten years related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, and engineering principles and techniques, as well as accounting principles.
  • Proven written and verbal communication abilities, proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite of programs.
  • Must have advanced presentation skills.
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedule.
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
