About The Position

AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager in New York, NY. This role focuses on leading projects within the New York City area, supporting the Transportation, Infrastructure/Transmission market sector, as well as state/local and industrial client sectors. The position involves supporting natural resources field studies, surveys, impact assessment, and permitting. Key tasks include completing permitting, arboriculture studies, and producing NEPA/SEQRA-related documents, along with restoration of transmission and transportation projects, particularly in New York, New Jersey, and New England states. The role offers a hybrid work model, allowing for remote work within the New York City metropolitan area or working from AECOM's New York City offices, with 5% domestic travel required. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, Geology, or a related field of study.
  • 8 years of experience as a Civil Engineer or in a related occupation.
  • International Society of Arboriculture Certification.
  • Working with clients with a national or geographic footprint.
  • Leading projects involving full spectrum of services by IE.
  • Working with projects with complexities, including leading due diligence efforts, environmental protection issues and litigation.
  • Managing all phases of project from kickoff to closure.
  • Overseeing field crews for accuracy and safety.
  • Leading other project managers.
  • Providing consenting and regulatory authority for approvals.
  • A valid Driver’s License is required and as a condition of employment must be able to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Transportation, Infrastructure/Transmission market sector, state/local and industrial client sectors.
  • Lead projects in the New York City area.
  • Support natural resources field studies, surveys, impact assessment, and permitting.
  • Complete permitting, arboriculture studies and production of NEPA/SEQRA-related documents, and restoration of transmission and transportation projects required with particular focus in New York, New Jersey and New England states.
