The Project Manager leads a portfolio of intersectional projects that advance innovative solutions to regional challenges, with particular focus on communities disproportionately impacted. The role supports Vital Communities' Housing Program and Climate & Energy Program, and may also collaborate with other program areas. Because the work is grant-funded and fluctuates, the project portfolio will evolve. Housing Program work includes representing Vital Communities in housing coalitions and organizing the Annual Housing Breakfast, an event of approximately 150 attendees. Climate & Energy Program work includes engaging and supporting town energy committees and climate action groups across the Upper Valley, organizing the Annual Energy Committee Roundtable, and developing a regional solid waste reduction project. The Project Manager will also explore projects at the intersection of housing and climate or energy, such as weatherization's potential benefits for climate goals and housing affordability. The position may supervise interns and volunteers. Personal transportation is required, as is willingness to work occasional nights and weekends for community events and stakeholder meetings. The position is regular, non-exempt, full-time at 35 hours per week, and hybrid, with in-person meetings in the office or at locations around the Upper Valley.
