Requirements

  • Minimum 5–8 years in construction project management, with at least 3 years dedicated to Data Center White Space or high-density colocation environments.
  • Proven track record working on builds for major cloud service providers (MSFT, AWS, Google, Meta) or large-scale wholesale operators.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in a professional work environment, including preparing written reports and documentation, conveying information clearly to team members, clients, and stakeholders, and responding appropriately to verbal and written communications related to job duties.
  • Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, twist, bend, and climb stairs or ladders for extended periods while navigating uneven, unpaved, or obstructed terrain.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Must be able to drive between job sites and access all areas of an active construction zone, including raised platforms, scaffolding, and confined spaces.
  • Must be able to tolerate exposure to outdoor weather conditions, dust, and construction-related noise, vibrations, and odors.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, and site personnel, and maintain situational awareness in high-activity environments.
  • Must have sufficient visual acuity to read drawings, specifications, and safety signage, and to observe site activity.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the installation of raised flooring, structural ceilings, hot/cold aisle containment systems, and server rack deployments.
  • Manage the integration of Branch Circuit Monitoring (BCM), Starline busways, and Remote Power Panels (RPPs) within the white space.
  • Direct specialized low-voltage and electrical contractors, ensuring high-density cabling and fiber optics are installed to Tier III or IV standards.
  • Coordinate the "handover" from the Grey Space teams to the White Space teams to ensure seamless continuity.
  • Lead Level 4 and Level 5 commissioning activities, including integrated systems testing (IST) and heat load testing using load banks.
  • Maintain clean-room protocols during the final stages of construction to prevent equipment contamination.
