About The Position

North Star Imaging (NSI), a global technology leader and worldwide leader in 2D digital radiography and 3D computed tomography equipment, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their Operations team at their Rogers, MN facility. As part of Illinois Tool Works (ITW), a Fortune 250 company, NSI offers the agility of a specialized technology business with the strength of a global industrial powerhouse. The Project Manager will be responsible for the project management, execution, manufacturing, and reporting for the delivery of industrial x-ray imaging capital equipment systems per customer specifications. This role may also involve managing product development projects and other business-defined projects.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of prior experience as a Project Manager, ideally in a manufacturing or capital equipment industry.
  • Associate’s degree in business or project management.
  • Knowledge of Project Management best practices and engineering principles.
  • Ability to lead multifunctional teams.
  • Strong planning, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, knowledge of escalation paths, and ability to make sound judgments and decisions.
  • Knowledge of budgeting.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Microsoft Teams, Adobe Acrobat Pro, MS Project, and hand tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to be on your feet during the workday.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with all departments to ensure projects are delivered on-time, to scope, within budget, and at the expected quality.
  • Review contracts to validate scope and protect business interests.
  • Focus on quality, cost, and on-time delivery.
  • Define deliverables and milestones.
  • Prioritize tasks to optimize schedule, resource usage, and product quality.
  • Lead regular meetings to provide information, identify interdependencies, and mitigate risks.
  • Interface with customers to communicate project build status, delivery, and installation.
  • Understand and utilize proper escalation paths.
  • Delegate tasks and follow up.
  • Monitor progress and provide support as needed.
  • Validate that deliverables are finalized within budget and on time, intervening where necessary.
  • Manage departmental interdependencies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
