About The Position

Serves as the Contractor's liaison, provides supervisory control of all security guards, and monitors daily operations of the guard force. This role involves providing supervisory control of all security guards assigned to the contract, monitoring daily operations and performance, and ensuring compliance with contract requirements and USGS physical security rules. The Project Manager will act as the Contractor's liaison with the COR and Government staff, attend meetings, and maintain training records. Responsibilities include managing, scheduling, and administering training, overseeing hiring and onboarding, establishing duty rosters, assisting with badging and access control, managing the employee safety program, coordinating relief coverage, providing reports, and assisting in developing SOPs and Post Orders. The role also includes performing additional supervisory and managerial duties, providing emergency response support, and serving as a member of the EROS Emergency Management Team.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in security management, law enforcement, military, emergency management, physical security, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Experience managing security personnel, schedules, training programs, and contract compliance activities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and security-related software systems.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to operate Government or company vehicles.
  • Ability to legally possess and carry a firearm.

  • Experience interacting with Government clients and stakeholders
  • Federal contract management experience.
  • Experience supporting DHS, DOI, USGS, DoD, FPS, or other federal agencies.
  • Experience managing guard force operations.
  • CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications.
  • Experience with access control, badging systems, and emergency management programs.

Responsibilities

  • Provides supervisory control of all security guards assigned to the contract.
  • Monitors daily operations and performance of the guard force and conducts inspections to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
  • Ensures compliance with all USGS physical security rules, regulations, directives, post orders, and SOPs.
  • Serves as the Contractor's liaison with the COR and Government staff and attends meetings, conferences, and briefings.
  • Maintains training records and administrative actions related to guard qualifications and certifications.
  • Manages, schedules, and administers initial and recurring training requirements.
  • Ensures all contract-required certifications and qualifications remain current.
  • Oversees hiring-related personnel actions, credentialing, onboarding, and personnel security requirements.
  • Establishes, maintains, and administers guard duty rosters and staffing schedules.
  • Assists the COR with the badging and access control program, including PIV card administration and visitor ID issuance.
  • Manages the contractor employee safety program.
  • Coordinates relief and backfill coverage for lunches, breaks, absences, and staffing shortages.
  • Provides reports, records, and required documentation to the COR.
  • Assists in developing, revising, and updating SOPs, Post Orders, and security procedures.
  • Performs additional supervisory and managerial duties as directed by Ahtna and the COR.
  • Provides emergency response support and performs security-related actions as required.
  • Serves as a member of the EROS Emergency Management Team (EMT) supporting the Occupant Emergency Plan (OEP) and Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP).
  • Supervise and lead a multi-shift workforce.
