About The Position

We're partnering with an established luxury custom home builder seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee high-end residential construction projects from pre-construction through completion. This is an opportunity for a hands-on construction professional who understands the complexity of custom homes and takes ownership of the details that make a project successful. The ideal candidate combines strong technical construction knowledge with proactive scheduling, cost control, quality assurance, and clear communication. You'll work closely with leadership, clients, interior designers, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers to keep projects moving forward while maintaining exceptional craftsmanship and a high level of client satisfaction. This role may also include mentoring assistant project managers and helping develop the next generation of construction leaders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of project management experience in residential construction, preferably with high-end or luxury custom homes.
  • Strong technical understanding of residential construction methods, materials, building systems, and sequencing.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, anticipate next steps, and maintain a strong sense of urgency.
  • Experience with scheduling, budgeting, change orders, subcontractor coordination, and quality control.
  • Comfortable using project management software and digital documentation systems; experience with BuildBook and Dropbox is a plus.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with discerning clients and design professionals.
  • A proactive, accountable leadership style and a genuine passion for building exceptional homes.

  • Conduct regular job-site walkthroughs and phase-specific quality checks to identify and resolve issues early, minimizing rework and protecting the finished product.
  • Monitor project budgets, estimates, change orders, material quantities, and subcontractor costs. Help protect project margins through careful planning and accurate execution.
  • Lead pre-construction meetings, coordinate material deliveries, and maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, designers, and other project partners.
  • Keep homeowners informed throughout construction, manage expectations, and ensure changes are communicated and documented appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate project records, daily field logs, photographs, schedules, and weekly updates using BuildBook, Dropbox, and other project management tools.
