About The Position

The Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, execution, and financial performance of assigned facilities maintenance and construction projects, from award through closeout. This role partners closely with Construction Managers, clients, and internal support teams to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5-8 years of project management experience in construction or facilities maintenance
  • Strong understanding of project budgeting, scheduling, and contract management
  • Proficiency with project management and scheduling software, as well as work order management (WOM) systems
  • Valid driver’s license, with local travel required for site visits

  • PMP certification or equivalent
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and client management skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and staffing plans
  • Oversee project execution to ensure work is completed in accordance with contract requirements and quality standards
  • Identify and manage project risks, escalating issues as needed
  • Manage project budgets, including cost tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Prepare and process change orders, pay applications, and invoicing
  • Review subcontractor and vendor contracts and invoices for accuracy
  • Monitor and manage margin sustainability across assigned accounts
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular status updates to clients and leadership
  • Manage client expectations and resolve escalated issues
  • Develop and track project-specific key performance indicators (KPIs) in partnership with clients
  • Direct and coordinate the work of Construction Managers, Project Coordinators, and subcontractors
  • Partner with Estimating on project handoff and scope clarification
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management of assigned project staff
  • Mentor and train Project Coordinators and new hires, modeling professionalism and client service standards
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms, permits, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, submittments, and closeout records
  • Support risk management and insurance/bonding requirements as needed
  • Perform due diligence with local municipalities and coordinate with permit expeditors as needed
  • Manage the qualifying and vetting of subcontractor proposals and project bids
