About The Position

Alphanumeric is hiring a Project Manager to work a hybrid schedule in Glen Allen, VA with an established organization supporting the financial and insurance industries. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative PMO team driving enterprise-wide business and technology transformation initiatives focused on improving operational efficiency, customer experience, and long-term capabilities for policyholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years of project management experience leading cross-functional initiatives
  • Proven ability to manage customer-focused projects across organizational boundaries
  • Strong planning, organizational, prioritization, and execution skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation communication skills
  • Experience gathering, documenting, and defining business requirements and project scope
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting large-scale IT projects and enterprise business transformation initiatives
  • PMI CAPM or PMP certification
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Project, Visio, or related project management tools

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional project teams through complex initiatives using established project management methodologies including PMI, Agile/LEAN, and SDLC frameworks
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, resources, communications, vendors, and overall project execution
  • Build collaborative relationships across business and technology teams to drive alignment and successful project outcomes
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify business opportunities, risks, and operational improvements
  • Develop and present formal project recommendations, status updates, and executive-level communications to senior leadership
  • Coordinate project execution across multiple workstreams and integrated project plans
  • Perform cost-benefit analyses and validate assumptions with stakeholders, process owners, and resource managers
  • Facilitate issue resolution, risk mitigation, and decision-making activities throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure projects remain aligned with strategic business goals and customer-focused outcomes
