About The Position

Volt is immediately hiring a Direct Hire Project Manager (Land Development) in Santa Clarita, CA. As a Project Manager, you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of civil engineering, surveying, or planning projects. You will develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and staffing plans to ensure successful project outcomes. You will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction. You will manage project financial performance, including budgeting, billing, contract administration, and change management. You will provide leadership, direction, and technical guidance to project teams. You will coordinate project resources and delegate responsibilities to meet schedule and quality objectives. You will monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain budget and timeline goals. You will also support business development efforts through client engagement, proposal preparation, and networking activities. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, Planning, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering, land surveying, planning, or project management.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and client relationships.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Experience overseeing multidisciplinary teams and coordinating project resources.
  • Knowledge of project management principles, contract administration, budgeting, and project controls.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with scheduling, budgeting, and project management software.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license.
  • California registration as a Civil Engineer or Land Surveyor.
  • Experience managing land development, infrastructure, or public works projects.
  • Proposal development and business development experience.
  • Familiarity with CADD and engineering design software.
  • Experience mentoring, developing, and evaluating technical staff.
