Requirements

Three plus years of project management or design experience in the construction industry or three plus years of fire sprinkler design experience from a fire sprinkler contractor.
Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

Apply project management abilities through reviewing preliminary design and calculations for the bid estimates.
Review pricing for materials, labor, freight, and fabrication.
Seek out competitive vendors and services to assure that Ahern’s fire protection projects are competitively bid.
Prepare change orders for customers.
Attend jobsite meetings.
Verify installation progress.
Maintain labor projections.
Meet with management on a regular basis to discuss project status and due dates.
Participate in turnover meetings as required.
Assist with any follow-up information with the customer as is requested.
Assume an active role in managing the projects in conjunction with the designer and construction superintendent.
