About The Position

As a Project Manager in the construction industry, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful planning, execution, and completion of construction projects from inception to closeout. Your role will involve coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely delivery within scope and quality standards. You will serve as the primary point of contact between clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and resolving any issues that arise during the project lifecycle. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience managing construction projects with demonstrated success in delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Proficiency in project management software, particularly Microsoft Project.
  • Strong knowledge of the construction project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout phases.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Project coordination, planning, and scheduling are essential for organizing and directing all phases of construction projects effectively.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project and other project management software enables the Project Manager to create detailed schedules, track progress, and adjust timelines dynamically.
  • Strong project documentation and administration skills ensure that all project records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with industry standards, facilitating transparency and accountability.
  • Understanding the project lifecycle allows the manager to anticipate challenges and implement solutions proactively, maintaining project momentum.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with additional project management tools such as Primavera P6 or Procore.
  • Familiarity with construction safety standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Advanced knowledge of budgeting and cost control in construction projects.
  • Experience working on large-scale commercial or infrastructure construction projects.
  • Preferred skills like PMP certification and familiarity with advanced tools enhance the ability to manage complex projects, optimize resource allocation, and uphold safety and quality standards throughout the project duration.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, timelines, resources, and budgets.
  • Coordinate and lead project teams, including subcontractors, engineers, and architects, to ensure alignment and effective collaboration.
  • Monitor project progress using project management software such as Microsoft Project, updating schedules and documentation regularly.
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, change orders, and progress reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.
  • Identify potential risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies and communicating these to stakeholders promptly.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings to review status, address challenges, and adjust plans as necessary.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee project administration tasks, including procurement coordination, invoicing, and resource allocation.
