About The Position

We are currently seeking a Project Manager to support capital projects at a major potash mining operation located approximately 100 km from Saskatoon. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic underground mining environment, leading a variety of capital projects that directly support safe and reliable mine operations. Projects range from equipment replacements and infrastructure upgrades to mechanical and process improvements, providing exposure to diverse technical challenges and stakeholders. Requirements

• 2+ years of project management experience, preferably within mining, heavy industrial, construction, or other industrial environments.
• Experience managing capital projects in an industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is an asset.
• Experience with SAP, Primavera P6, Oracle, or other project management software is considered an asset.
• Previous underground mining or potash experience is considered a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, and execution plans.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
• Review engineering designs to ensure compliance with project objectives, site standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage contractors and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Monitor project progress, quality, costs, and resource requirements.
• Identify project risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
• Prepare project reports, forecasts, and presentations for stakeholders.
• Support procurement activities, including vendor evaluations and contract administration.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Conduct project close-outs and capture lessons learned to support continuous improvement.
