About The Position

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of project coordination from start to finish for NFPA 13D, 13 & 13R projects, including managing construction issues, tracking progress, and resolving any project-related challenges. This includes communication with field personnel and superintendents, ensuring adherence to schedules, and overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from design and permits to material delivery and installation. The role involves attending project meetings, reviewing RFIs, managing work orders and purchase orders, and ensuring accurate material lists. Additionally, the Project Manager tracks job profitability, prepares progress reports, schedules inspections, and handles billing. Effective communication and close coordination with the team are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, track, manage, resolve, and communicate project issues during construction including documenting site observations and managing applicable construction punch list to resolution.
  • Communication with field personnel and Field Superintendents
  • Retains full project responsibility for coordination and schedule.
  • Oversee project progression from inception to completion including design permits, material delivery, labor planning, field installation, etc.
  • Attends project related meetings, coordination efforts, etc., as needed.
  • Order All CAD/Water Flow Draft/Review All RFIs.
  • Reviews work orders/purchase orders, prepare and maintain project schedule.
  • Communicate between superintendents and provide completed billing bi-weekly via email.
  • Review material lists before they are delivered to verify quantities and types are correct.
  • Modify material lists as needed due to excess or insufficient amounts on production products.
  • Pay/Schedule inspections as needed.
  • Pay/Schedule Pick-Up of all plans and permits
  • Track job profitability weekly.
  • Make profit/progress reports for general foreman and Divisional Manager.
  • Any other tasks deemed necessary by TDI Management
