About The Position

The Space Manufacturing & Test Operations (SMTO) team is seeking a strategic, cross-functional leader to serve as the Subject Matter Expert and Project Manager for System Tool and Material Compliance. The role connects corporate compliance requirements with manufacturing-floor execution and is responsible for the operational integrity of system tool and material management systems. It ensures SMTO compliance with federal and industry regulations while optimizing digital tools that support manufacturing efficiency. The role leads implementation and optimization of MRP, MES, and PDM systems; improves processes, user experience, and data integrity across SharePoint and other project tools; and leads organizational change management through training, troubleshooting, and end-user support. It also oversees IT tickets assigned to SMTO compliance. The position supports on-the-floor material management, including analytics, budgets, inventory practices, issue resolution, material requirements, resource allocation, and cost control. It gathers and synthesizes operational data into briefings for management. The role translates compliance regulations into operational plans, serves as SMTO liaison to specified risk and enhancement boards, supports business process document owners with standardization and audit readiness, and interprets corporate policies to support adherence to DFARS 252.242-7004, FAR 52.245-1, the NASA FAR Supplement, and AS9100. The position requires a regular and predictable work schedule and effective working relationships across the department, Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units, and the company. Other duties may be assigned as necessary. Work is performed in an office, laboratory, cleanroom, or production-floor environment. The position requires on-site work three or more days each normally scheduled week at the primary work location; travel and local commuting between company campuses and other locations may be required. A security clearance or polygraph access is not required to be eligible. The applicant must be willing and eligible to be submitted for applicable clearance or access after accepting an offer, depending on program requirements, and must be able to maintain it.
