In this role, you will have the opportunity to own and deliver power generation facility installation and modification projects, provide technical support for client projects, support business development through proposal development, and serve as the primary client interface during project execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

  • 15+ years of relevant industry experience including new simple cycle and combined cycle projects, Combined Heat and Power, and other Boiler applications.
  • 5 years of experience in Project Management with full responsibility for the outcome of the project
  • Strong familiarity with the full spectrum of project development, design, construction, and startup/commissioning lifecycle for power generation facility installation and modification projects.
  • High level communication skills to better lead and serve client and community stakeholders for projects.
  • PE, P.Eng or equivalent professional license.

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver power generation facility installation and modification projects encompassing combined cycle, simple cycle, reciprocating engine, and plant expansion primarily for conventional generation.
  • Provide technical support for client projects including project planning and feasibility studies, development engineering support, energy production estimates, and cost estimates; design engineering services; equipment technical specification preparation and construction (construction only or EPC) technical specification preparation, RFP support, and bid evaluation support; design review services, construction support and testing & commissioning (construction only or EPC). Projects may be greenfield, brownfield, or existing plant expansion projects.
  • Support business development through collaborative development of proposals, including project execution plans, cost estimates, and client presentations.
  • Serve as the primary client interface during project execution, accountable to the client for project outcomes and internally for client satisfaction and project performance.
  • Work closely with Client Account Managers for assigned clients to assist in developing client relationships and identification of new project opportunities including pre-positioning for favorable consideration by the client.
  • Manages multiple small to medium sized Services projects, and/or a small EPC project.
  • Manages multiple clients and/or projects.
  • Obtains new/repeat business on medium size projects; supports contract negotiations with client peers.
  • Manages risk which may include fixed price engineering, new technology or new clients.
