We’re partnering with a global biotech company looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead a high-impact finance technology initiative and support a broader portfolio of strategic transformation projects. The Opportunity As Project Manager, you will lead a strategic finance technology initiative focused on procurement and spend management, while also supporting additional global finance transformation projects within a broader enterprise technology portfolio. This role requires someone who can drive structure, execution, and alignment across business and IT teams in multiple regions. You will take ownership of delivery from end to end—managing timelines, risks, reporting, stakeholder communication, and cross-functional coordination—while ensuring successful execution in a highly matrixed global environment. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the US, China, Europe, and Mexico, making this an ideal opportunity for someone experienced in navigating international teams, competing priorities, and enterprise-scale transformation.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in project management, with a strong track record delivering large-scale finance, procurement, or transformation initiatives
  • Proven experience managing global, cross-functional enterprise projects in complex environments
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across business and technology teams
  • Experience driving structured delivery using project governance best practices, including RACI frameworks
  • Hands-on experience with procurement and finance platforms such as SAP (S/4HANA, ECC), Ariba, and related tools such as Concur
  • Strong understanding of integrated finance processes across P2P, OTC, Manufacturing, and Quality
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and reporting skills
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Nice To Haves

  • PMP or equivalent project management certification
  • Experience in biopharma, life sciences, or other highly regulated industries
  • Exposure to global procurement operations, particularly in China and multilingual environments

Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end delivery of procurement, spend management, and finance technology initiatives
  • Drive project execution across scope, timelines, budget, governance, and stakeholder alignment
  • Establish project structure, formalise delivery plans, and implement strong project management discipline
  • Track milestones, dependencies, risks, and KPIs; proactively resolve delivery challenges
  • Coordinate global cross-functional teams across Finance (Accounting, Tax, FP&A), Procurement, IT, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Quality
  • Act as the key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams
  • Partner with business and IT leaders to drive solution design, enhancements, and integration across enterprise platforms
  • Support platform governance including user management, security roles, and ongoing enhancements
  • Lead change management, drive user adoption, and support training/onboarding activities
  • Ensure clear communication through executive-ready status reporting, project documentation, and governance materials
