About The Position

The Project Manager is employed by Coastal Community Foundation and assigned to support Charleston Education Partners (CEP) and the Tricounty Housing Futures Fund through the Foundation’s fiscal sponsorship relationships. CEP works to build excellent neighborhood schools by strengthening relationships among families, schools, and local organizations. The Tricounty Housing Futures Fund works to increase the availability of attainable housing in the Charleston region through funding, expertise, and collaboration. Under the direction of both organizations’ CEOs, the Project Manager coordinates projects, community engagement, partnerships, events, communications, and administrative activities. The role requires understanding each organization’s mission, priorities, programs, and stakeholders, and managing work across two related but distinct areas. Time is generally divided equally between the organizations, with strategy sessions and a shared priority list used to coordinate responsibilities and deadlines. The Project Manager manages competing demands, communicates consistently with both CEOs, and completes commitments accurately and on time. The position includes day-to-day organizational and program coordination; planning and tracking community-based initiatives; maintaining communication with programs and partners; building community partnerships; coordinating events and outreach; preparing communications and reports; and maintaining project and engagement records. A regular, sustained in-person presence at the Foundation’s North Charleston office and at community meetings, forums, partner gatherings, and events is an essential function. The position requires a bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of experience in project management, community engagement, or partnership coordination. A master’s degree is preferred. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organization, communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills, and a commitment to CEP’s mission of ensuring every child has access to an excellent, community-anchored school.
