This is a contract with the potential for conversion at the end of the contract. Very strong likelihood of this converting to an FTE, as they are building an informal PMO to support the growing requests for project management support. Day to day: This person will have multiple projects that they will be overseeing. This person will acquire new projects as this department continues to grow. He or she will be responsible for coordinating amongst the various teams, collaborating with leadership to build the project plans, which may include resources and then driving the project from beginning to end, from a Project Management perspective. The Project Manager leads multiple medium to large projects, in varying stages of the project life cycle. This position is a servant leader that works with cross-functional teams and supports Sr. Project Managers responsible for initiatives on behalf of the company. They lead all aspects of assigned projects including defining, iterative planning, organizing, establishing deadlines with the team, clarifying responsibilities, monitoring, and summarizing progress utilizing traditional, hybrid and Agile project management methodologies. Performance goals are to ensure quality project deliverables are on time and on budget. They collaborate with sponsors, stakeholders, team members, vendors, and other departments to ensure the projects are completed within the approved time, cost and scope. The position is empowered to manage staff if needed to meet the stated goals of the projects they manage.
