About The Position

Heartline Staffing is recruiting a Project Manager for a full-time, on-site energy-efficiency opportunity in New York City. The role supports the day-to-day delivery of energy-efficiency projects by working directly with subcontractors, customers, equipment vendors, and internal teams from initial engagement through project completion and final payment. The immediate project assignment is located in Queens, NY. Work at customer sites is anticipated, and a valid driver's license is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree REQUIRED
  • 3–5 years of experience in energy efficiency or project management REQUIRED
  • Experience managing projects from inception through close REQUIRED
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail REQUIRED
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams REQUIRED
  • Working knowledge of spreadsheets, project-management programs, word-processing tools, presentation software, workflow programs, and project-tracking tools REQUIRED
  • Valid driver's license REQUIRED
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident work authorization REQUIRED
  • Ability to work on-site and at customer locations REQUIRED

Nice To Haves

  • Project-management experience in an engineering or construction-oriented environment
  • Knowledge of energy-saving HVAC, lighting, or refrigeration measures
  • Experience with boilers, chillers, air-handling units, or electrical-power upgrade projects
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
  • Certified Energy Auditor (CEA)
  • LEED AP or another relevant industry credential

Responsibilities

  • Manage energy-efficiency projects from intake through completion and final payment.
  • Communicate with contractors regarding project pipelines, schedules, documentation, and progress.
  • Review pre- and post-inspections of energy-efficiency projects.
  • Assemble bid packages and support contractor and equipment-vendor selection or bidding.
  • Prepare comparative analyses of bids received.
  • Track and manage projects using proprietary project-management software.
  • Gather and review required project documentation.
  • Monitor program tasks, reporting, project progress, and follow-up activities.
  • Manage project intake and move projects from initial engagement through final payment.
  • Coordinate directly with contractors, customers, vendors, and internal staff.
  • Review project inspections and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare bid packages and assist with contractor and equipment-vendor selection.
  • Compare and analyze project bids.
  • Maintain project tracking and documentation using project-management and program-tracking tools.
  • Support compliance with hazardous-waste requirements and lamp disposal/recycling requirements.
  • Monitor project and program milestones, reporting, and follow-up.
  • Maintain strong customer service and attention to detail throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support projects involving energy-efficiency upgrades, including HVAC and related building systems.
