About The Position

Boccard Life Sciences, an industrial integrator operating in 35 countries, specializes in designing, manufacturing, assembling, and installing process solutions for clients in the Food & Ingredients, Pharmaceutical, Cosmetics, and Brewing Industries worldwide. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the overall execution of customer CAPEX projects, from initiation to closing, utilizing Boccard's Project Management System and standard project management practices. Project scopes can encompass Conceptual Design, Basic Design, Detailed Design, Procurement, Shop Fabrication, Construction, Commissioning, and Qualification.

Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural, Chemical, Mechanical, or Food Process Engineering.
  • At least 10 years' experience in Hygienic Life Sciences (Food, Cosmetic, etc.).
  • A minimum of 5 years' of proven experience in a CAPEX Project Manager role.
  • More than 10 years of professional experience in Budget Management.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute projects according to Boccard's Project Management System and best practices.
  • Ensure project objectives are met, prioritizing safety, timeliness, specifications, and budget.
  • Manage projects ranging from small to multi-million dollars and foster client business development.
  • Prepare monthly budget reports, analyze variances, and forecast "Estimate To Complete" and "Estimate At Completion".
  • Prepare quotations, draft proposals, and support technical alignments.
  • Review customer purchase orders for alignment with Boccard’s proposals and scope of work.
  • Initiate projects by gathering and reviewing data from the estimating phase upon contract award.
  • Monitor project scope, identify variations, and prepare change request estimates.
  • Track execution schedules against baselines, identify dependencies and variances, and report impacts.
  • Coordinate with Department Managers to acquire necessary resources and assemble project teams.
  • Liaise with all project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Set and manage project expectations with team members and stakeholders.
  • Organize and conduct project meetings.
  • Monitor project risks using Boccard's internal risk register and implement standard risk management tools.
  • Track project KPIs and communicate metrics to stakeholders.
  • Document and manage project issues using a project issue log and issue non-conformity reports.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Department to review and close non-conformity reports and improve best practices.
  • Participate in vendor selection, issue purchase order requisitions, and validate receipt of goods and services.
  • Assist in selecting suppliers, developing specifications, and conducting RFQ processes.
  • Provide coordination and monitoring of contractors onsite.
  • Prepare detailed technical specifications and equipment specifications for various markets.
  • Prepare technical bid packages for mechanical installation of process equipment and components.
  • Coordinate shop fabrication and onsite installation.
  • Organize and facilitate acceptance tests (Simulations, FAT, SAT, Qualifications).
  • Establish equipment lists from validated P&ID and validate P&ID.
  • Support Project Managers, Site Managers, and Engineering Manager in design reviews.
  • Manage projects until full closure phase completion.
  • Establish, manage, and solve project punch-lists.
  • Document project handover and execute Provisional and Final Acceptance certificates.
  • Handle project reserves and claims and assist in securing final payment.
  • Review project team and vendor deliverables for compliance.
  • Carry out project closeout, prepare project postmortem, and report final project KPIs.
  • Submit customer satisfaction surveys and collect feedback.
  • Prepare recommendations and document Lessons Learned.
