About The Position

The Project Manager (PM) position is a role in the Project Management job category. This role will work independently and in coordination with other project leadership roles. The role focuses on the management of projects and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, timekeeping, financial management, reporting, customer relation, invoicing, presenting plans and actuals, and reconciliation. In the course of their duties, the PM may be assigned to an individual customer engagement and or a series of customer engagements.

Requirements

  • Must have at least 3 years of technical project management experience.
  • Must have experience with capital equipment installations and commissioning.
  • Must have a proven track record in customer satisfaction.
  • Must be able to share references/recommendations.
  • Demonstration of outstanding communication and customer service skills.
  • Must be able to work very independently and remotely (self-starter).
  • Must have a passion for customer satisfaction.
  • Satisfactorily pass background check, post-offer drug screen, and physical prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the food processing industry, specifically poultry.
  • A degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.
  • Project management professional (PMP) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Review and update project plans and schedules when necessary.
  • Manage time entry and approval for projects.
  • Manage expense entry and approval for projects.
  • Support project financials, advise on areas of non-compliance or exceptions, and keep track of all change orders and credits.
  • Support the client on a recurring basis regarding project status, including details on project actuals, budgets, and forecasts for financials and resource management.
  • Track Man Days Actual vs Budgeted.
  • Process project invoices and check requests through Accounts Payable for outside contractors for the project if needed.
  • Ensure cost rates for resource costs, travel costs, product/material (PID) cost, etc., are correct and properly applied.
  • Support the information for all required processes across all teams.
  • Support the change control process for the project by collecting data and creating setup forms.
  • Ensure project status is properly reported, execute the project close-out checklist, and support the Lessons Learned process.
  • Maintain project organization charts and key distribution lists as required from the project communications plan.
  • Enter data into Smartsheet (PM Software).
  • Work with the service department for staffing allocations for each project.
  • Confirm all service appointments in FSL.
  • Manage sites to ensure customer satisfaction for certain projects, including proper shipping info, inventory management, daily updates for service reports, sign out reports, and closing out the project.
  • Develop clear, straightforward plans that stimulate teams to reach their full potential.
  • Provide customer assistance and service.
