About The Position

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Project Manager to support the planning and execution of commercial real estate corporate office projects in Manhattan, NY. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing construction projects, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment. Media and/or Studio production construction experience would be preferred! This is a hybrid role requiring on-site presence 2–3 days per week, with flexibility based on project and client needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in construction or facilities project management, preferably in a corporate or multi-site environment.
  • Recent experience with office renovations, tenant improvements, or workplace reconfigurations/ construction is mandatory.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Procore).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites across the U.S.
  • Ability to work on-site 2–3 days per week, with flexibility to adjust based on client and project needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Media and/or Studio production construction experience would be preferred!
  • Prior experience working on commercial Media/Studio Production construction projects is preferred.
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices and workplace trends is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage stakeholders including architects, engineers, and supply chains to deliver compliant projects.
  • Analyze, track, and effectively manage critical milestone activities to avoid schedule slips.
  • Verify that effective project governance, processes, and systems are utilized.
  • Ensure application of best practice on all projects.
  • Production of formal project status reports and other reports as required.
  • Monitor the progress of multiple construction projects simultaneously to ensure that the approved design standards are applied correctly.
  • Manage the interface between all suppliers through monthly trackers and weekly reviews.
  • Manage the flow of project information between the project team through regular meetings and written communications.
  • Forecast and update key project milestones and budget.
  • Manage and monitor local design teams in accordance with commission criteria.
  • Provide technical support to owners, architects, general contractors and regional stakeholders.
  • Rapid response to RFIs from the field.
  • Provide expertise for cost control, value engineering, and constructability guidance where required.
  • Independent review of status reports, drawing submittmits, timelines, and costs from architects, contractors and suppliers.
  • Client management – assist in developing excellent working relationships with Clients, with a view towards maximizing new opportunities.
  • Strategic Thinking - provides advice to project teams on approaches that can be adopted to successfully achieve both clients’ objectives and business objectives.
  • Knowledge management – ensure that key information and learnings generated from each project are captured.
  • Process improvement – Identify ways to improve internal systems and processes.
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
