About The Position

RUSSCO, Inc. is a leading retail general contractor specializing in finishing commercial and retail interior space. Founded in 1952, RUSSCO has a long history in retail and commercial construction for numerous well-known clients. Based in Fall River, Massachusetts, RUSSCO operates in over 35 states. The Project Manager reports to the Director of Project Management and is responsible for supporting clients directly through all phases of construction. This role involves direct communication with clients, subcontractors, and office staff, and ensuring work is executed to the highest standard and remains on schedule. The Project Manager also promotes RUSSCO's interests throughout the project.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and establish effective working relationships with on-site staff, promoting positive project morale.
  • Collaborate with the Bid and Estimating team to find subcontractors.
  • Work with the office team and Assistant Project Manager(s) to provide subcontractor information and scope of work for legal contracts.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of the General Contract, subcontracts, contract drawings, specifications, and addenda.
  • Assist in the development of on-site procedures.
  • Develop, refine, and update the Project Schedule, ensuring all required dates are met.
  • Plan and review the Construction Program, including quality control, safety, field office setup, temporary utilities, staging areas, equipment, and manpower.
  • Oversee job progress to ensure work is on schedule.
  • Conduct on-site walkthroughs with clients.
  • Lead and participate in internal and external conference calls with clients.
  • Communicate challenges and successes to Leadership, Clients, and office staff.
  • Create, communicate, and submit legal documents to building departments and inspectors.
  • Maintain good relations and communication with all project stakeholders, including the public.
