Project Manager - US

AerocloudAtlanta, GA
Remote

About The Position

AeroCloud is expanding its US delivery capabilities and is seeking a Project Manager to oversee the complete delivery of airport technology implementations for its North American clients. This role involves managing projects from contract signing to the handover to business-as-usual (BAU) operations within complex, live airport environments. The Project Manager will simultaneously manage multiple airports, handling hardware logistics, airline onboarding, client relations, and coordinating internal cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate is comfortable with ambiguity, can hold teams accountable without direct authority, and possesses the technical insight to anticipate and prevent critical issues.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of delivering complex technology implementations on time and on scope, in client-facing roles.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholder groups simultaneously: technical teams, commercial contacts, and operational users.
  • Strong technical literacy to understand infrastructure and software deployments, even if not an engineer.
  • Strong discipline around project governance, task management, status reporting, and delivery tooling.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively in fast-moving environments with multiple active projects and competing deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in follow-through.
  • Comfortable working remotely with a distributed team, including regular communication across US/UK time zones.
  • Willingness to travel to airport sites across the US as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in aviation, airport technology, or transport infrastructure.
  • Background in SaaS or managed services delivery.
  • Familiarity with common airport systems (CUPPS, CUSS, SSBD) or airline DCS environments.
  • Experience delivering hardware-led programs involving logistics, onsite installation, and commissioning.
  • Project Management certification (PMP, Prince2, or equivalent) valued but not required if your track record speaks for itself.
  • Experience working with infrastructure, networking, or endpoint management teams.

Responsibilities

  • Translate signed contracts and customer requirements into a structured, sequenced delivery plan.
  • Define milestones, identify the critical path, and manage dependencies across hardware procurement, software configuration, airline onboarding, and go-live.
  • Proactively identify blockers, escalate issues as needed, and resolve them to prevent timeline slippage.
  • Manage end-to-end delivery within AeroCloud’s project delivery platform, ensuring tasks, milestones, approvals, and status accurately reflect reality.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for each airport during the implementation phase.
  • Set clear expectations, communicate risks and delays proactively, and manage scope changes while maintaining positive relationships.
  • Build confidence with airport operations, IT, and procurement stakeholders, assuring them that delivery is in capable hands.
  • Support commercial discussions related to delivery change orders, timeline negotiations, and acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure alignment and accountability within the AeroCloud delivery team, including engineering, product, hardware logistics, airline onboarding, and support.
  • Conduct structured stand-ups and progress reviews, actively following up on tasks and distinguishing between minor issues and significant delivery risks.
  • Verify that documentation and task tracking are complete, current, and valuable.
  • Coordinate closely with the UK-based delivery leadership team, effectively managing across different time zones.
  • Develop a working understanding of the AeroCloud platform's integration with cloud services, airport infrastructure, networking, hardware, airline DCS connectivity, and peripheral devices.
  • Engage with airport IT and technical stakeholders on deployment topics such as networking, endpoint configuration, Windows imaging, firewall rules, and operational dependencies.
  • Identify technical dependencies and implementation risks early, escalating issues with sufficient context for rapid resolution by engineering teams.
  • Maintain accurate project plans, risk registers, change logs, and meeting records throughout the delivery process.
  • Ensure all documentation is complete and signed off prior to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and go-live.
  • Oversee the transition from implementation to BAU support, including briefing the support team, confirming asset registers, and ensuring client operational independence.
  • Lead post-implementation reviews and incorporate lessons learned into the delivery methodology.
