About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation of new Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) modules and components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing large-scale healthcare or government technology projects, coordinating multiple stakeholders, vendors, and state teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Project Management experience in technology projects within healthcare or state government environments
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience managing project deadlines and critical paths
• Ability to gather business requirements and prioritize analytics, reporting, and data initiatives
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve project issues early
• Experience engaging stakeholders and driving project success through collaboration

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with state government agencies
• Medicaid program or Medicaid agency experience
• Experience with data and system migration from legacy systems
• Change management, training coordination, and communication planning experience

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end implementation of MMIS modules and components
• Define and manage project scope, timelines, budget, implementation plans, and risk mitigation strategies
• Coordinate vendors, project managers, and stakeholders through effective project governance and master scheduling
• Monitor project risks, deliverables, and overall project performance
• Ensure all project requirements and deliverables are successfully met
• Manage resources across multiple vendors and state teams through planning, implementation, go-live, and certification phases
• Provide regular project updates to leadership, executives, and legislative stakeholders
• Analyze project progress and proactively address challenges
