About The Position

The Project Manager leads the end to end delivery of mobile, truck mounted gas turbine generator deployments from notice to proceed through installation, commissioning, Ready for Service (RFS), and handover. This role ensures performance, safety, schedule, cost, and contractual compliance by integrating logistics, site works, turbine package installation, balance of plant (BOP), and grid/customer interfaces.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
  • Successfully passes all applicable general pre employment testing including but not limited to: background check, pre employment drug screening, pre employment fit tests, pre employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s).
  • Driver’s License required. Employment is contingent upon meeting company driving standards, including an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in accordance with Company policy.
  • Daily in person, predictable attendance.
  • Proficiency in spoken English language.
  • 7+ years project management experience in power generation deployments.
  • 3+ years of experience involving turbine, large genset, or packaged power installation/commissioning.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required. An equivalent combination of education, specialized training, and relevant professional experience will be considered in lieu of formal degree.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi discipline field execution (civil, mechanical, electrical, controls).
  • Strong contract/change order management and schedule control (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent).
  • Experience coordinating OEM commissioning/start up activities and managing warranty compliance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with mobile/temporary power and fast track deployments.
  • Familiarity with grid parallel requirements (protection, metering, synchronization, interconnection).
  • PMP (or equivalent) and formal safety training.

Responsibilities

  • Owns execution of the Statement of Work (SOW), including capacity, voltage, fuel quality, operating modes, and any emissions or noise limits.
  • Manages contractual deliverables, acceptance criteria, and customer sign offs for RFS and provisional/final acceptance.
  • Controls scope changes through formal change order processes to protect margin and schedule.
  • Develops and maintains the integrated project plan and schedule covering site readiness, package delivery, BOP completion, and commissioning windows.
  • Drives critical path management with weekly look aheads and proactive constraint removal.
  • Ensures robust HSE planning for high risk work including lifts, hot work, energized testing, and fuel handling.
  • Ensures all permitting and compliance requirements are identified and met (air/emissions, noise, transport permits, AHJ inspections).
  • Implements construction quality processes to ensure commissioning readiness and minimize rework.
  • Coordinates heavy haul logistics, delivery sequencing, crane plans, rigging, and set activities.
  • Ensures installation readiness for tools, spares, OEM specialists, and site utilities.
  • Manages subcontractors for civil, electrical, mechanical, fuel systems, and security works.
  • Establishes commissioning readiness gates and confirms prerequisites such as mechanical completion and protection settings approvals.
  • Coordinates customer/utility energization approvals and outage windows.
  • Escalates and resolves technical and supply chain issues with OEM and engineering stakeholders.
  • Owns deployment P&L including labor, subcontractors, rentals, and schedule delay risks.
  • Manages forecasting and cost to complete while aligning invoice milestones to acceptance events.
  • Serves as the primary commercial interface to customer leadership for status, risk, and decisions.
  • Leads governance cadence, including weekly customer calls and commissioning readiness reviews.
  • Ensures complete turnover packages to Operations, including as builts, settings baselines, O&M manuals, and warranty documentation.
  • Conducts lessons learned and closes all commercial and contractual obligations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
