About The Position

Ratcliff is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to oversee projects from preconstruction and planning through closeout. This role requires someone who can manage the budget, schedule, solve problems, communicate effectively, build strong relationships, and deliver a high-quality finished product. The ideal candidate will take ownership of projects, lead teams, and ensure all aspects are moving towards successful completion, understanding that success involves more than just construction, but also financial management, client satisfaction, and team collaboration.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing commercial construction projects
  • Understand the financial side of construction and can confidently manage budgets, forecasts, costs, and change
  • Organized and detail-oriented while still keeping sight of overall project objectives
  • Communicate clearly and confidently with clients, subcontractors, field teams, and leadership
  • Take initiative and follow through on commitments
  • Approach problems with a solutions-focused mindset
  • Comfortable making decisions and taking ownership of the outcome
  • Value teamwork and know how to build productive working relationships
  • Hold yourself to a high standard for quality and professionalism
  • 3+ years of commercial construction Project Management experience preferred
  • Experience managing projects for a commercial general contractor strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, contracts, scheduling, cost management, and project documentation
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with construction project management technology and Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CMiC or similar construction management software is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of overall project performance, including budget, schedule, quality, and client satisfaction
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, forecasts, and cost controls
  • Manage subcontractor and vendor relationships, contracts, scopes, commitments, and performance
  • Partner closely with the Superintendent to keep field and office operations aligned
  • Lead project meetings and maintain clear, consistent communication with owners, design teams, subcontractors, and internal teams
  • Identify potential issues early and take action before they become larger problems
  • Manage RFIs, submittents, change orders, pay applications, documentation, and project closeout
  • Monitor project financials and make informed decisions that protect both the project and the company
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and project partners
  • Hold yourself and others accountable while contributing to a team-focused environment
  • Represent Ratcliff professionally and uphold our standards throughout every phase of the project
