About The Position

We are seeking a Commercial Construction Project Manager to join the team in OH. These growth-focused roles offer the opportunity to take ownership of substantial ground-up and complex commercial projects while gaining exposure to a diverse portfolio of recognizable projects across the country.

Requirements

  • Approximately 7+ years of progressive commercial construction experience with a general contractor.
  • Several years of meaningful Project Manager responsibility, with 3+ years as a PM preferred.
  • Clear career progression through the GC project-management track
  • Strong ground-up commercial construction experience.
  • Experience managing larger or complex commercial projects.
  • Demonstrated ownership of project budgets, schedules, subcontractor coordination, and project documentation.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 15%-20%, including occasional air travel to projects throughout the country.
  • Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Approximately 7-10+ years of total commercial GC experience.
  • Experience with retail, hospitality, multifamily, mixed-use, education, corporate, or adaptive-reuse construction.
  • Experience managing large ground-up commercial projects.
  • Background with an established regional or national general contractor.
  • Experience working on projects across multiple geographic markets.
  • Interest in continuing to grow into larger project and leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction and planning through execution, turnover, and closeout.
  • Take ownership of project budgets, schedules, documentation, and overall execution.
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, field teams, and internal leadership.
  • Manage subcontracts, change orders, RFIs, submittmits, and other critical project documentation.
  • Monitor project costs, forecasts, schedules, and milestones to keep work on track.
  • Partner closely with field leadership to resolve construction issues and maintain project momentum.
  • Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with clients and project stakeholders.
  • Identify risks, solve problems, and make timely decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage multiple priorities across complex commercial projects.
  • Travel to active project locations as needed, including projects throughout the U.S.
  • Help maintain strong client and subcontractor relationships while representing the company professionally.
  • Contribute to a growing project team while continuing to expand your own project-management responsibilities.
