About The Position

Arizona Outdoor Designs is seeking a Residential Landscape Construction Project Manager to support customer-facing operations and ensure the delivery of a distinctive product that meets customer needs in a timely and seamless fashion. This role is relationship-intensive, acting as a liaison between customers, designers, the production team, and general contractors to manage project needs effectively. The ideal candidate will be a leader with strong communication skills, capable of understanding client requirements, overseeing project progress, evaluating on-site status against plans, and initiating actions to ensure customer satisfaction and project success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead upfront discussions with clients to frame opportunities for designers.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of project designs and customer visions.
  • Establish a clear view of the overall schedule, key contractors, and critical path to meet deadlines.
  • Stay current with evolving client visions and potential obstacles.
  • Establish trust-based relationships with clients and their representatives.
  • Work effectively with Arizona Outdoor Design’s Production Leadership for seamless communication.
  • Develop strong relationships with critical trades.
  • Proactively monitor projects onsite daily to weekly.
  • Review project quality to ensure specifications are met and changes are made promptly.
  • Observe the status of key trades and understand interfaces with them.
  • Track project progress and costs, including reviewing receipts.
  • Ensure proper and timely invoicing and collections.
  • Document everything and utilize construction project management software.
  • Maintain relentless communication, keeping all parties informed.
  • Build strong client relationships through understanding landscape needs and broader connection.
  • Ensure sufficient customer contact to understand evolving needs.
  • Prepare, communicate, and negotiate change orders, ensuring proper approvals and information sharing.
  • Motivate parties to take necessary actions with urgency.
  • Support Project Superintendent in key areas.
  • Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors on the critical path.
  • Order materials.
  • Coordinate plant sourcing with clients/designers and internal purchasers.
  • Coordinate inspections with local jurisdictions.
  • Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.
  • Ensure subcontractors correct deficiencies.
  • Identify and communicate construction progress conflicts for resolution.
  • Perform quality control duties regularly.
  • Ensure projects meet the highest industry standards for excellence.
  • Instill a culture that celebrates precision and craftsmanship.
