About The Position

We are currently searching for Seeking a Project Manager (PM) to oversee innovation-focused prize competitions and career development initiatives that enhance national competitiveness. The PM will lead efforts such as the National Institute of Aging (NIA) Startup Challenge, which has supported groundbreaking innovations, including AI-enabled solutions aligned with the Genesis mission. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity in Rockville, MD.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Community and Public Health or similar discipline
  • MINIMUM EIGHT (8) years of project management related experience with at least ONE (1) year of NIH experience
  • Must be familiar with the Federal Challenge Prize Competition
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office including SharePoint
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust. Candidates must receive approved adjudication of their Public Trust prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including charters, schedules, resource plans, budgets, and work breakdown structures.
  • Coordinate project management activities and support staff in executing tasks aligned with priorities and timelines.
  • Track and manage project action items, ensuring timely follow-up and accountability by project owners.
  • Prepare project status reports, dashboards, milestone summaries, and performance updates for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver presentations, briefings, and materials to support stakeholder engagement and decision-making.
  • Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and financial forecasts; support budget formulation and financial reporting activities.
  • Evaluate project cost, schedule, and performance against established metrics and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain project tracking systems, tools, and documentation repositories to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
  • Establish standardized project management processes, reporting frameworks, meeting structures, and SOPs.
  • Review project plans, tracking methods, and documentation to identify improvements and enhance efficiency.
  • Coordinate with project managers and programs to share best practices and improve project management effectiveness.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on cross-cutting initiatives, support communication strategies, and maintain coordination across stakeholders, teams, and subcontractors.
