We’re looking for a Project Manager (PE) with experience in managing manufacturing & industrial type design projects to join our dynamic team in our Orlando or Melbourne, FL office. Must be a licensed professional engineer or architect. Requirements

  • Must be a licensed professional engineer or architect.
  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree, in Architecture, Engineering or Construction related field, from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years related experience in areas as listed under essential duties and responsibilities.
  • Must be a US Citizen or a Permanent Resident.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Windows, Excel, Project, and Word.
  • Responsible for project specific standards, practices and quality as defined in BRPH Systems Manuals.

Responsibilities

  • Performs project management for BRPH design projects.
  • Successfully manages assigned projects to meet the customer’s program, expectations and the Firm’s Mission and Vision.
  • Makes decisions independently and represents the company and the customer to resolve important questions and to plan, coordinate, and manage projects.
  • Understands the project scope, goals, and limitations.
  • Understands and visualizes the customer’s goals and limitations.
  • Communicates with the customer, the customer’s assignees, the design team, the construction administration team, the contractors, and all agencies, as necessary, which are involved in order to successfully complete a project.
  • Develops project scope of work where required or necessary.
  • Prepares project proposals and contracts in accordance with Firm’s policies.
  • Plans the project including activities, schedule, milestones, cost projection over timeline.
  • Establishes the Firm’s project budget, communicates and distributes the budget, manages and controls the budget, reports time line status accounting.
  • Requests staff allocation to successfully fulfill the requirements of the project from both the customer and the Firm’s goal.
  • Conveys the customer’s and Firm’s expectations to the team members.
  • Leads and manages the project and the Firm’s team (staff and consultants).
  • Controls and coordinates the project, the team, and the customer to fulfill the obligations of the Firm to the customer, while maintaining quality, profitability, reputability and customer expectations.
  • Practices risk management throughout the project.
  • Prepares Instructions to Bidders, General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions and Division I of the Specifications.
  • Motivates and mentors team in conjunction with the discipline directors.
  • Prepares Project Status Reports including pertinent data, cost and profit projection vs actual over timeline.
  • Maintains good project documentation, files and records.
  • Prepares scope of work, obtains proposals, and prepares Agreements and Purchase Orders for required outside services.
  • Assists accounting in timely and accurate invoicing and accounts payable.
  • Promotes customer satisfaction within the customers as well as the firm’s Mission.
  • Delivers or exceeds the customer’s expectations in accordance with the Firm’s contractual obligations and the Firm’s policies, including quality and profitability.
  • Provides necessary activities and documentation to close out project.
  • Maintains Firm’s project database for their projects.
  • Assists in marketing in accordance with the Firms’ marketing plan and policies.
  • Assures project quality and attends Quality Control Review sessions.
  • Supervises assigned Project Administrator.
  • Assists in development and mentoring of Project Manager Trainees.
  • Promotes communications, cooperation and quality among staff.
  • May visit construction site to review, monitor, and report progress and perform other construction administration duties, such as attend construction site meetings, review RFI’s, prepare ASI’s, PR’s, prepare status/progress reports.
  • Duties may include, or assisting in, supervising, coordinating and checking the work.
