About The Position

The Facilities Management Project Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of identified HPHA Facility and Capital Projects across the Alliance. This position is responsible for soliciting the services of architects, engineers, and consultants using standardized RFP formats, in conjunction with Materials Management where necessary, and then for managing those contracts from beginning to completion. The position is also responsible for the coordination between Construction & Tenant Coordination, Senior Management, and external stakeholders through planning processes to ensure cohesive and successful projects. This position will work with contractors and accounting to prepare budgets and schedules for each project. This position shall manage each project within the approved project budget and schedule.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or College Diploma in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management
  • Project management PMP or equivalent project management experience in construction, mechanical or electrical projects
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction project management
  • Demonstrated ability and knowledge to interact with internal and external stakeholders on project development and execution
  • Project management capabilities in a number of different frameworks such as construction management, electrical and/or mechanical systems replacements and upgrades, equipment installations & environment/energy conservation initiatives in complex environments
  • Superior knowledge of all processes, phases and services involved with development including site selection, market analysis, finance, construction, leasing, sales, legal and transactional skills re: contracts and liability
  • Strong Financial Management skills
  • Political astuteness and ability to interact with stakeholders appropriately
  • Able to move projects and issues forward in a collaborative manner
  • Demonstrated Creative problem solving and trouble shooting skills
  • Demonstrated superior communication skills to work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Knowledgeable in safe practice procedures and accident prevention, including WHMIS and Material Safety Data Sheets
  • Computer Literate: Microsoft Office applications as minimum software usage will be required
