About The Position

The Development Authority of Bryan County is seeking a Full-Time Project Manager to dedicate their time to economic development and the objectives of the DABC. This role involves supporting existing and future industry programs, coordinating workforce development initiatives, and assisting with administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, possess strong professional skills, and be able to work effectively under pressure while maintaining confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency is required.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License or be able to secure one within 45 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Emphasis in Business Administration, Marketing, or Economic Development or similar is preferred.
  • Experience in project management, economic development, and/or workforce development are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct ongoing outreach and visitation programs for existing industries, including quarterly check-ins and annual survey meetings.
  • Connect key industry contacts to appropriate workforce resources to meet hiring and retention needs.
  • Assist the CEO in facilitating workforce development programs, including military transition, school alignment, and programs for underrepresented groups.
  • Coordinate existing industry events such as tours, career fairs, employer forums, and training sessions.
  • Collaborate with the DABC marketing team to share industry news and highlights on social media.
  • Maintain an accurate database of existing industry information, utilities, transportation, and market data.
  • Assist with prospect visits, ensuring properties are presentable, setting up equipment, compiling prospect packets, and attending meetings.
  • Support the completion of project requests for information (RFIs).
  • Maintain and monitor project plans, databases, schedules, and budgets.
  • Assist with conducting fiscal analysis of projects using provided software and training.
  • Assist with the preparation for meetings and presentations, and attend when necessary.
  • Support grant applications and administration.
  • Work with the CEO to ensure the DABC website is up-to-date.
  • Attend board meetings and other DABC functions as requested.
  • Inform the CEO of work progress and conflicts.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with DABC partners, including government agencies, educational institutions, military transition offices, consultants, and brokers.
  • Perform other duties as instructed by the CEO.
