About The Position

The Development Authority of Bryan County is seeking a Full-Time Director of Strategic Partnership. This role reports to the Director (and/or CEO) of the Development Authority of Bryan County (DABC) and is responsible for dedicating time to economic development and the objectives of the DABC. The position involves performing duties essential to the operational success of the DABC, including leading existing industry programs, contributing to future industry programs, and supporting administrative efforts. The Director is expected to develop and maintain professional relationships with various DABC partners and create platforms to expand industry programs. Key expectations include punctuality, a positive attitude, strong attendance, humility, a servant's heart, self-motivation, ambition, teamwork, professional behavior, the ability to work under tight deadlines with minimal direction, and maintaining confidentiality. The role may require occasional overnight travel and after-hours participation in meetings and events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required (emphasis in Business Administration, Marketing, or Economic Development, Government or similar preferred).
  • Microsoft Office proficiency is required.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License or be able to secure same within 45 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates with at least 5 to 7 years of experience in leadership roles in economic development, workforce development, business development/retention, and or marketing/public relations are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead DABC's existing industry program, including ongoing outreach and visitation, connecting industries with workforce resources, and leading workforce development programs.
  • Coordinate existing industry events such as tours, career fairs, employer forums, and training sessions.
  • Coordinate with the DABC marketing team to share industry news and highlights on social media, potentially creating content.
  • Manage public relations efforts for existing projects as needed.
  • Maintain an accurate database of existing industry, utility, transportation, industrial market, and other relevant contact information.
  • Contribute to the oversight of DABC's future (prospect) industry program, supporting prospect visits, and leading the completion of project requests for information (RFIs).
  • Manage public relations efforts for prospect projects as needed.
  • Maintain and monitor project plans, databases, project schedules, and budgets.
  • Support the creation of fiscal analysis of projects.
  • Support and lead DABC's administrative efforts, including facilitating meetings and presentations.
  • Support and lead research, data collection, and administration of grants and other programs.
  • Work with the CEO to ensure the DABC website is up-to-date.
  • Attend and support facilitation of board meetings and other DABC functions.
  • Manage Project Managers, Analysts, Interns, etc. as the DABC team grows.
  • Inform the CEO of work progress and conflicts of all activities and projects.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with DABC partners.
  • Create platforms to expand existing and future industry programs.
