About The Position

Archer Mechanical specializes in sustainable mechanical and plumbing systems, providing design-build, design-assist, new construction, additions, remodels, retrofits, service, and preventative maintenance. Archer Mechanical produces a higher-value product cost-effectively and efficiently using progressive construction planning technologies, advanced construction materials, and manufacturing methods, reducing safety risks, schedule durations, and congestion on the job site while enhancing the construction results. As a Project Manager you will be responsible for managing a book of construction projects, working closely with executives, superintendents, and other leaders to estimate and oversee these projects. You will be expected to be versatile and able to work effectively with all levels of the organization and clients. With a strong focus on detail and decision-making, the Project Manager will play a crucial role in the success of our projects.

Requirements

Proven work experience in construction management Required
Self-motivated with excellent time and project management skills
Proficient in managing multiple projects at various stages
Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with general contractors, internal departments, vendors, subcontractors, shop, and field trades
Sound understanding of commercial construction, including designs, coordination, specification compliance, scheduling, change management, billings, and reporting

Nice To Haves

Experience working in the trade industry Preferred
Experience in mechanical piping and plumbing related project management, including project turn-over's and set-up, construction document evaluation, estimating, schedule development, and project controls (drawings, costs, and milestones) Preferred
Experience with quality control, client development, and training and development a plus

Responsibilities

Meet with customers to understand their needs and how our services can align with these needs
Oversee pursuits in both plan/spec and design-build projects to maintain a balance of work
Ensure efficient document control for all projects, including insurance, bonding, permits, submittals, RFI's, change orders, and correspondence
Take full responsibility for the financial, program, quality, safety, and client relationship aspects of contracted projects
Work closely with the project Superintendent to coordinate and direct tradesman and subcontractors
Plan and schedule construction activities to meet deadlines
Prepare budget estimates, progress reports, and cost tracking reports
Select suppliers and subcontractors with input from engineering, estimating, and purchasing as required
Verify and distribute correct drawings to the field
Create a schedule of values or billing format as required by the contract documents
Manage RFI's, change orders, submittals, and other project documentation, ensuring all team members are informed
Allocate necessary resources, tools, subcontractors, materials, and equipment to maintain or improve project schedules
Prepare and negotiate change order requests beyond the original scope
Provide oversight and direction to internal resources as needed
Administer project closeout documentation, including Operation and Maintenance manuals, startup reports, owner training, punch lists, and warranty responses
Plan ahead to prevent problems and address any emerging issues
