About The Position

Silo Ridge Field Club, a part of Discovery Land Company, is seeking a full-time, year-round Project Manager to join the Construction and Development Department. This role is responsible for managing multiple residential projects to ensure they meet Discovery Builders' standards and Owner Expectations by providing superior oversight in budget, schedule, and quality adherence from project inception through owner completion. The Project Manager will contribute to creating the Discovery Land Company experience for members and employees.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8+ years applicable work experience to position required.
  • Competency with Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, Publisher, Project, Vizio.
  • Ability to work with a diverse staff.
  • Ability to listen to and respond to specific requests during training sessions.
  • Ability to meet one-on-one or in small groups to provide ongoing training and skill competency assessments.
  • Must be professional and maintain the ability to communicate at different levels, in verbal and written form.
  • Must be familiar with the phases of horizontal construction, especially residential.
  • Must be familiar with CSI cost-code divisions.
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
  • Ability to listen and respond to multiple players, providing feedback and recommendations as required to most effectively meet project needs.
  • Must conduct business in a professional and ethical manner with all team members, potential buyers, external business associates and coworkers to reinforce goodwill and profitability for the company.
  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in field applicable to position preferred.
  • Construction Management certification, or equivalent experience shall be given preference.
  • Procore experience/ certification preferred.
  • Experience using Sage Timberline preferred.
  • Strong preference to candidates with luxury residential construction experience; commercial experience and process management also preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assure Customer Satisfaction and the Member Experience.
  • Act as Primary Contact for Members, Members Representatives, Designers, and Architects.
  • Create an environment of Professionalism, Respect, Timeliness, and Accountability among the project team.
  • Oversee Bi-Weekly Reports in Standard Company Formats.
  • Coordinate with the Architect, Landscape Architect, Interior Designer, and other Consultants.
  • Manage Project Budgets.
  • Complete Budget Snapshots Monthly by the 10th of each month.
  • Ensure all costs are coded to the appropriate budgets.
  • Complete Bid Comparisons for review prior to Issuing Subcontracts and Purchase Orders.
  • Support Superintendents and On-Site Construction Activities.
  • Conduct Weekly Owner, Architect, Contractor (ORC) Conference Calls using Microsoft Teams or other video platform.
  • Maintain cleanliness and a physical presence consistent with that of a Discovery Builders staff member.
  • Provide ongoing support of Community Development Initiatives to ensure coordination of efforts with Operations and Sales within the Community.
  • Responsible for overall Project success by managing budgets, buyouts with subcontractors and suppliers, and schedules.
  • Set expectations with the Member and the member’s team.
  • Constantly review, drive, and manage site cleanliness, jobsite material management, laydown yards, and traffic flow through the club and project.
  • Be flexible and able to pivot to new projects and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
