About The Position

Vertex Professional Services (VPS) is hiring a Project Manager. This position requires a high level of leadership and customer interface with all levels of the organization. The incumbent must possess the ability to manage all program aspects including implementation, budget, schedule, deliverables, profit and loss, customer relationship/interface, and direct activities of the staff. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for client relationship development as well as day-to-day operations, including schedule and financial performance. You will oversee and coordinate the operational aspects of learning solutions to include curriculum analysis and design and content development projects and services as a liaison between project management, planning, project team(s), and line management. Additional responsibilities include assessing project issues and developing resolutions to meet productivity, quality, client satisfaction goals and objectives. Travel will be required.

Requirements

  • Strong background in training and learning solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong relationships with customers and co-workers
  • Experience in a consultative role
  • Demonstrated tactical planning, critical thinking
  • Must be able to utilize a system level approach including integration and leverage of resources
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Project
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Minimum of eight years of overall management experience, to include supervising teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products; significant use of Microsoft Excel and Power Point
  • Scheduling tools
  • Sharepoint
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field

Responsibilities

  • Developing mechanisms for monitoring project progress, interventions and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
  • Client interface, business development, strategic planning, and integration of activities across customer sites, project strategy, resource and staffing plans, team leadership, schedule management, profit and loss, performance assessment, and project control.
  • Manage the financial processes for the program, working closely with the customer and Vertex leadership.
  • Management to facilitate workflow and ensure compliance with Vertex policies and procedures.
