About The Position

This position reports to the UNF's Director of Campus Planning, Design and Construction. Acts as the University's project representative on assigned construction and maintenance projects. Participates in the solicitation and selection of professional design and construction services. Reviews vendor cost proposals, contracts, and construction cost estimates for accuracy and appropriateness. Reviews project design drawings and specifications for compliance with associated contract documents. Within the parameters of the delegation of authority, approves requisitions and payments to architects, engineers, contractors, and other vendors as well as proposed change notices. Together with a project's selected design team, conducts substantial completion and final site reviews to ensure compliance with contract documents. During declared campus emergencies, this position may be required to perform specific job-related duties at a designated campus location or place of residence.

Requirements

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.
  • This position requires a background check.
  • In conjunction with the University's policy, this position may also require a credit check.
  • The holder of this position is designated as a “Responsible Employee” pursuant to their role under Title IX.
  • This position has been designated as a Campus Security Authority (CSA).
  • All positions designated as CSAs are required to complete an online or in - person training session.
