Our challenge Leading the development and implementation of complex, compliant, and scalable technology solutions within the capital markets space, supporting trading, risk management, and post-trade processes in a fast-paced, regulated environment. Additional Information The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within New York, NY is $120k - $140k/year & benefits (see below). The Role Responsibilities: Lead large-scale capital markets technology programs, coordinating cross-functional teams across trading desks, risk, compliance, and engineering. Drive Agile and Scrum delivery as Scrum Master or TPM, managing sprint planning, backlogs, dependencies, and risk mitigation specific to trading and market data systems. Partner with business stakeholders including traders, risk officers, and compliance teams to translate complex requirements into detailed technical roadmaps. Ensure solutions meet market regulations, security standards, and operational needs for real-time trading and risk systems. Demonstrate strong communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills to manage global teams and align stakeholder expectations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in capital markets technology, specifically in trading, risk management, or post-trade processing systems.
  • Strong background in Agile and Scrum methodologies, with experience as Scrum Master or Technical Program Manager in financial services.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including collaboration with business, compliance, and engineering teams.
  • Ability to translate complex financial and regulatory requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience managing global virtual teams.
  • Knowledge of financial products, trading platforms, market data, and regulatory frameworks like MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, or Basel.
  • Previous experience working in high-frequency trading, electronic trading, or quantitative risk systems.
  • Technical expertise in cloud platforms, data architecture, APIs, and security protocols relevant to capital markets.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, with a focus on automation and continuous deployment in financial systems.
