About The Position

Wachter is seeking Project Managers for its Technology Solutions - Physical Security department in Mt. Laurel, NJ. This role provides project management and operational support, focusing on the low voltage and construction field, particularly for single and multi-site operations. Requirements

  • At least 2 years' experience managing projects.
  • Proficient with the use of personal computers, including email, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Excellent customer relationship and communication skills; verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work in a strong cross-functional team.
  • Must type at least 40 WPM.

Nice To Haves

  • College Education preferred, although not required.
  • Experience in any of the following fields is a plus: CAT5, Telecommunications, Fiber, Construction, or Structure Cabling.
  • IT is a plus.
  • Project Management experience in Construction, Technology, or related fields is helpful.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Pro and SharePoint preferred.
  • Experience working with engineered drawings, bid specifications and construction take-offs is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operational tasks.
  • Provide logistical project support.
  • Create and maintain project files.
  • Manage project scheduling and billing.
  • Perform a variety of administrative permit functions.
  • Assist team in data collections or field verifications including code calls and other items as needed.
  • Coordinate and manage PO and invoices for permits and inspections.
  • Organize, update, and maintain necessary documentation.
  • Track permits through the permitting process, beginning with application acceptance, plan review, inspections, and permit closure.
  • Gather and submit all specified plans and applications that a local building department might require, in various regions of the U.S.
  • Interact with Project Managers, city staff, and other government agencies to coordinate the city or county permitting requirements and processes.
  • Gather additional information requested, resolve permitting issues, and advise Project Managers of permit decisions.
  • Manage and facilitate the issuance of building permits from various municipalities in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time within a given time frame.
  • Participate in and implement process improvement activities/tasks to improve the program team's efficiency.
  • Manage the process of sourcing, evaluating, and estimating selected bid opportunities.
  • Maintain a high standard of quality and professionalism.
  • Manage & delegate through team resources.
  • Perform any other duties not specifically stated herein, but which your supervisor may assign.
  • Adhere to all required project safety requirements as set forth by the Company and OSHA.
