This specific opportunity involves working on an exciting portfolio of remediation projects utilizing various assessment and remediation technologies under the Florida DEP (FDEP) Petroleum Restoration Program (PRP). The role can be based anywhere in Florida, either remotely or from one of their local offices.

Requirements

  • BS in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or another related field.
  • 7+ years of experience including familiarity with the State of Florida Petroleum Restoration Program, Florida Regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects within contract requirements.
  • The ability to successfully multi-task, safety awareness, and a good record and understanding of safe work practices.
  • Valid driver's license, safe driving history, and reliable transportation are required.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer license preferred.
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Leads assigned PRP sites from initiation through closeout, ensuring technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, financial control, and schedule adherence in accordance with FDEP guidelines, contract requirements, and company standards.
  • Manages a portfolio of FDEP PRP sites through all phases of assessment, remediation, and site closure.
  • Develops, tracks, and maintains project schedules, budgets, and scopes of work.
  • Coordinates internal technical staff, subcontractors, laboratories, and subcontractors to ensure timely and compliant project execution.
  • Proactively monitors project progress and deadlines to prevent delays and ensure deliverables are submitted on time.
  • Manages project budgets and cost controls in accordance with PRP funding constraints and contract requirements.
  • Coordinates accurate invoicing submittals with administrative staff.
  • Participates in PRP teleconferences, meetings, and site visits as required.
  • Promotes adherence to company quality assurance and health and safety programs.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the PRP team.
